The Sobrido Limestone Kilns were used at the end of the 19th century to prepare lime, and for a long time it was one of the main means of survival for the inhabitants of the village. After being cooked twenty-four hours, the lime was transported to Vila de Amarante, with the help of animals, where it was sold. Each couple had their own oven.
